Frequently asked questions
Is this a recovery scam?
No. We never ask for your seed phrase or wallet access, never promise to get your money back, and never contact you first. We give you a report of public blockchain records that you file yourself. Anyone promising recovery for a fee is a red flag.
Can you get my money back?
No. WalletTies is not a recovery service. Nobody can promise to get crypto back. The FBI and FTC warn that "recovery" services asking for upfront fees are often scams themselves. We give you organized evidence. You file it yourself.
Will you ask for my seed phrase or wallet login?
Never. We only need your public wallet address. Your seed phrase or private key gives total control of your wallet. Never share it with anyone.
Do you contact the police or the scammer for me?
No. You file the report yourself. Your report includes copy-paste text for the IC3 form, and our free IC3 filing guide walks you through it.
Do I have to pay to file with the FBI?
No. Filing with IC3 is free, and there's no minimum loss. IC3 will never contact you to ask for money. See our free IC3 filing guide.
Can I attach your PDF to my IC3 complaint?
No. IC3 doesn't accept attachments. Paste the text from your report into the IC3 form, and keep the PDF in case an investigator asks for it.
Which report should I get?
We'll never suggest a report that costs more than makes sense for what you lost. Lost under $500? Our Free Evidence Check and free IC3 filing guide are probably all you need. From $500 to $100,000, we suggest the $39 Evidence Report. The $99 Full Investigation is usually for losses over about $5,000 with many wallets, or over $100,000. More on how we suggest
Is the report proof of who did it?
It shows what happened on the blockchain, meaning which wallets sent money to which. It doesn't prove anyone's real-world identity or guilt. Investigators decide that.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final once your investigation starts, because the data and review time are spent. If we can't deliver your report, you get a full refund. Not sure? Start with the Free Evidence Check to see what we can find before you pay.
What if you can't deliver my report?
If we can't deliver your report, you get a full refund. For example, if your chain isn't supported or we can't complete the report you paid for.
What if I'm not sure a paid report will find more?
Start with the Free Evidence Check. It shows what we can find before you pay, and it's always free. Once a paid investigation starts, the sale is final.
What if the money went through a mixer or a bridge?
The trace follows the money as far as public records allow. If funds hit a mixer or cross to another blockchain, we note where the trail stops and why, so investigators know where to pick it up.
What happens to my information?
We use it only for your case and delete it 90 days after delivery, or sooner if you ask. See our Privacy policy.
How it works
- Tell us what happened. A 5-minute form: your public wallet address, the coin, rough dates and the amount.
- Get your Free Evidence Check in about an hour. We confirm whether we found your loss transactions, the coin and the wallets that appear to be behind it, as counts. Addresses and the money trail come in the paid reports.
- Choose a paid report if you want one. $39 Evidence Report (gives you what you need to file) or $99 Full Investigation (deep dive delivered within 3 days: wallet map and Token Ties, the coins the same wallets appear to be tied to). Or file yourself with our free IC3 filing guide.
